Terror in Niğde! Relative dispute ends in bloodshed: 3 dead
Three people lost their lives in a dispute between relatives in Niğde.
The incident occurred in the village of Ağcaşar, located in the central district of Niğde. According to the information obtained, Ramazan G. (52) argued with his relatives, Abdullah G. (42) and Ramazan G. (39), in front of an unused coffeehouse in the village square. During the incident, which escalated into a fight, Ramazan G. opened fire on Abdullah G. and Ramazan G. with a handgun.
Upon notification, numerous gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the village. Medical teams provided initial intervention to the two injured individuals at the scene before transporting them to the Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Training and Research Hospital.
Ramazan G. (39) and Abdullah G. could not be saved despite all interventions by doctors at the hospital and lost their lives. Ramazan G. (52), who went to his home after shooting his relatives, was then shot by the relatives of the victims. The injured Ramazan G. (52) also lost his life on the way while being transported to Nevşehir State Hospital by ambulance. Following the incident, one of the two suspects who fled was apprehended, and an operation has been launched to capture Bayram G.
STATEMENT FROM THE GOVERNOR OF NİĞDE
Making a statement regarding the incident, Niğde Governor Cahit Çelik said, "Unfortunately, 3 people lost their lives in an armed fight that occurred in our Ağcaşar village, which is connected to the central district of our province. One of those involved in the incident has been caught, and one is currently a fugitive. The judicial process is ongoing. It is a very distressing incident. I wish God's mercy upon those who lost their lives and patience for their relatives. Our teams have taken the necessary precautions in the village. We hope to capture the other person involved in the incident as soon as possible."
