Terrorist captured wounded in Levent attack discharged from hospital
Onur Çelik, one of the terrorists captured wounded during the shootout that occurred during the armed attack on a police checkpoint in Levent, Istanbul, has been discharged from the hospital. Following his interrogation at the police station, the terrorist was referred to the courthouse.
The investigation into the terrorist attack on a police checkpoint in Beşiktaş on April 7 is continuing in a multi-faceted manner.
During the incident, in which 2 police officers were wounded in a clash between security forces and terrorists, 1 terrorist was killed and 2 terrorists were captured wounded.
Of the 18 suspects apprehended in connection with the cell in chain operations, 13 have been arrested.
It has been learned that the treatment of Onur Çelik, one of the terrorists captured wounded in the attack, has been completed and he has been discharged.
Taken to the Istanbul Counter-Terrorism Branch after his treatment, Çelik was referred to the courthouse today following his processing at the police station.
It was learned that the other terrorist captured wounded in the Levent attack is still receiving treatment at the hospital and has been moved from the intensive care unit to a regular room. It was stated that the cell member, whose treatment continues in the hospital and who is being kept under surveillance, will be referred to the courthouse after being discharged.
