The suspect accused of killing 21-year-old Pelin Karaca, who was found dead in Uşak while being sought as a missing person in Manisa, has been arrested.

The suspect, Ali U. (37), who was detained by teams from the Manisa Provincial Police Department, was referred to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station were completed.

The suspect, who is reportedly married and has children, was arrested by the criminal judgeship of peace and sent to prison.

CLAIMED SHE DIED AS A RESULT OF AN ACCIDENT

On the other hand, it was learned that in his statement, the suspect Ali U. said that he had a romantic relationship with Pelin Karaca, that their relationship had deteriorated some time ago, that Karaca had left him, and that he had tried to force the 21-year-old woman to reconcile during their last meeting, and that they argued when she refused.

The suspect claimed that Pelin Karaca lost her life as a result of an accident. Explaining that the brakes of his vehicle failed during their argument and that he caused her death by running over Pelin Karaca, who was in front of the vehicle, the suspect stated that upon realizing Karaca was dead, he panicked and took her body to a wooded area in the Eşme district of Uşak and buried it.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The family of 21-year-old Pelin Karaca, from whom no news had been heard since September 26 in the Alaşehir district of Manisa, had applied to the police. The police teams, who launched an effort to find Karaca, had detained 37-year-old Ali U., identified as the woman's boyfriend, as a suspect.

In his statement, the suspect indicated that he had left Karaca's body in a wooded area near the Alahabalı neighborhood of Uşak's Eşme district, and the woman's body was found during a search conducted at the location described by the suspect.
