Following 12punto's report that Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the son of the Somali President, had fled abroad, the testimony provided by Öznur Göçer, the wife of motorcycle courier Göçer, to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has been revealed.

SUICIDE ALLEGATIONS

In her testimony, Göçer stated the following:

"I am filing a complaint against the police officers who initially listed my husband as at fault in the accident report regarding his death on 06/12/2023, following the accident he had on 30/11/2023. Furthermore, I was never personally called by phone regarding the allegations mentioned on social media that my husband had committed suicide. These suicide claims were made by two police officers who came to the front of the hospital to my husband's motorcycle courier friends who were there. I was also in that area, but due to the crowd and the effect of the sedatives, I did not see these police officers. These police officers were apparently the same ones who were at the scene of the accident."

"WE ARE FILING A COMPLAINT AGAINST ALL NEGLIGENT POLICE OFFICERS"

"I heard about these things from Yunus Emre's friends who were at the scene from the very beginning. These friends of ours know exactly who these people were and what they said. I will report the names of my husband Yunus Emre Göçer's friends who heard these statements and witnessed them firsthand to this investigation file through my lawyer. There is no situation where my husband would commit suicide. He was a person who struggled for his child due to my child's special needs. For this reason, we are filing a complaint against all police officers who listed my husband as at fault, made claims that my husband committed suicide, and were negligent. We will submit our detailed petition later. We are also filing a complaint against the duty Public Prosecutor who gave the instructions at the time of the accident. I also request that the individuals responsible for allocating the consulate vehicle for use be investigated. I am also filing a complaint against these individuals. I will submit our detailed statement through our lawyer."

"WHEN I WENT TO THE HOSPITAL, MY HUSBAND..."

Öznur Göçer also stated that when she went to the hospital, her husband's condition was not good and his skull was completely fractured, adding:

"I entered through the red zone of the Samatya State Hospital emergency room. My husband was in the red zone. When I entered, all the motorcyclist friends followed me inside to protect me. They entered because they thought I would collapse. An official there told me that only his wife could enter. I said I am his wife. They told me I couldn't enter like that and they couldn't give me information. I rebelled against the situation. I asked them to give me an answer, is he dead? The door opened slightly. When I saw my husband's feet, I collapsed to the ground. As far as I heard, my husband was already in an 'ex' (deceased) state when he arrived at the hospital.

When I fainted, they put me on a stretcher. They gave me sedatives. After that, I was numb to everything. I don't know how much time passed. I think after an hour or two, I wanted to see my husband again. Later, I went in to see him. He was bandaged everywhere. Because the back of his head was fractured, there was blood everywhere. He was connected to a machine. His skull was completely fractured. His abdomen was swollen. I didn't see any wounds or bruises on his body. He had taken the entire impact on his head. Then I asked the official there why you are keeping him waiting here?"

MY HUSBAND PASSED AWAY 6 DAYS LATER

"Because people with broken legs were also coming there. People who had been stabbed were also coming. They told me there was no room in the intensive care unit. My husband waited in that area for exactly 7 hours in a semi-intubated state. Then, after pleas and efforts, they took my husband to intensive care. If we hadn't spoken up, they wouldn't have done anything. I suggested transferring him to another hospital. They told me that because his head was severely damaged, he had 6 fractures, his brain was directly damaged, and there was internal bleeding in the brain, so we could not move him. I offered to take my patient and take him to another hospital. They did not accept this offer because it would be life-threatening for my husband. They told me I could take him by signing a waiver. Afterwards, after a difficult 6 days, my husband passed away. There was no improvement in my husband's condition. They were already calling his condition critical. If I remember correctly, when I went to the hospital on the Sunday before my husband passed away, I encountered the doctor on duty. I asked if there was any development in my husband's condition. He said that he was already working with machines, that he had no brain functions, that he had not had consciousness since he arrived, and that all his organs were not working. When I reacted, I said then you are not doing anything. He pointed to the tube in my husband's mouth for breathing and said, 'Let me pull this out and see, we are the ones keeping him alive.' He said, 'Even if you take him abroad, this is a dead person. His organs are working right now thanks to us.' During this process, my husband was urinating. The swelling in his eyes had gone down. They had removed the head bandages, his body had reacted with a fever. I had seen my husband very well in the later stages. I think there was negligence in my husband's treatment. After 6 days, they took my husband for a film called nuclear medicine. This was a film related to detailed brain imaging. After they came back from the film, they told us that the doctors would explain it to us. The door opened. The doctor said, 'There is nothing we can do. Brain death has occurred.' On the night of that situation, the news of my husband's death arrived. They told us we needed to come to the hospital immediately. We went to the hospital immediately. After learning the news of my husband's death, it was said that he needed to be sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute. Then, after the Forensic Medicine Institute, we received the funeral with a riot police escort."

SHE ALSO FILED A COMPLAINT AGAINST THE SOMALI PRESIDENT'S SON

"Due to the incident, I am filing a complaint against the other party's vehicle driver. I want him to be punished. I want whatever is necessary to be done. We were victimized as a result of this accident. I was left alone with my young daughter, who has special needs. My husband Emre was the only one working. Since I am a housewife, I have no other source of income. We were very victimized. At this stage, I have no other matters to add."
