Testimony of Sertaç Taşdelen, founder of 'Faladdin' and 'Binnaz', revealed

A significant development has occurred regarding Sertaç Taşdelen, the founder of the digital fortune-telling applications "Faladdin" and "Binnaz", within the scope of an investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. During the ongoing investigation, Taşdelen was arrested by the Istanbul 8th Criminal Judgeship of Peace on charges of "laundering assets derived from crime" and sent to prison.

TESTIMONY TO THE JUDGESHIP REACHED

According to the statement Taşdelen gave to the criminal judgeship of peace, he declared his monthly income as 150,000 TL. Denying the accusations against him, Taşdelen described himself as a technology entrepreneur. Stating that he brings foreign currency into Turkey, Taşdelen rejected the allegations directed at him.

"I DO NOT BELIEVE IN FORTUNE TELLERS"

Stating that he is a graduate of the Bilkent University Faculty of Business Administration and that he completed his military service as a commando, Sertaç Taşdelen reacted to being referred to as a "fortune teller" in the public eye. In his defense before the judge, he used the following expressions:

"I have nothing to do with fortune-telling, amulet-making, faith healing, or being a religious healer. I am a technology entrepreneur who develops artificial intelligence-based applications. I returned to our country from abroad. I previously underwent a similar investigation and received a decision of non-prosecution. I do not believe in fortune tellers."

USED IN 120 COUNTRIES

Taşdelen stated that the digital fortune-telling applications he founded are currently used in 120 countries. He argued that he is an entrepreneur who earns foreign currency for Turkey. Emphasizing that he is a patriot, Taşdelen said, "I take care of my 75-year-old mother; I do not possess a high amount of assets."

Taşdelen argued that the services they offer on digital platforms are entirely supported by artificial intelligence. He claimed that the application contains texts produced by automated systems, not fortune-telling interpretations written by humans. He stated that it is incorrect for his applications to be confused with traditional fortune-telling.

LEGAL PROCESS CONTINUES

Following the arrest of Sertaç Taşdelen, the investigation has been deepened. Under the instruction of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, company accounts and financial transactions are being examined in detail. In addition to Taşdelen, some individuals connected to the company are also expected to be called in for questioning.
