The gap between CHP and AKP revealed in the latest poll! 'The ruling party is not losing votes as thought'

While the CHP has launched a signature campaign both for an early election and for the release of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is being held in Silivri Prison, public opinion research companies have also accelerated their general election polling.

Finally, the results of the general election poll conducted by PANORAMATR between April 7-14 have been revealed.

Karar columnist Ali Bayramoğlu, in his article titled "The ruling party is not losing votes as thought," stated, "The general picture might suggest the idea of a decline in the ruling party and an increase in the opposition. But political trends are not developing exactly like that. It appears that the vote shares of the ruling party (AK Party), which caused the victimization, have increased just as much as the party that was victimized (CHP). The CHP has increased its vote share by 4.2 percent, and the AK Party by 2.4 percent. The difference between the two parties is 2.8 percent in favor of the CHP."

The relevant part of Bayramoğlu's article is as follows:

"Among the public opinion surveys that I have followed and trusted for years, the monthly PANORAMATR agenda studies are particularly notable. The latest PANORAMATR study, with fieldwork conducted between April 7-14, contains interesting data regarding the questions we asked at the beginning.

First, it is useful to look at general attitudes.

Regarding the March 19 process, the majority of society finds what was done and what was experienced to be wrong and harmful to the country. While 60 percent say the arrests are wrong, only about 27 percent find them correct. Similarly, while 54 percent see the March 19 process as 'political,' those who say it is 'legal' are around 34 percent.

These rates are important in terms of society's sense of upholding democracy and justice.

However, the division and polarization between the voters of the ruling and opposition parties do not seem to have disappeared, except for partial shifts. Indeed, while the majority of AK Party and MHP voters support this process, opposition voters take a stance against it.
