It has been learned that the 7th Chairman of the CHP, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, and the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Ekrem İmamoğlu, will come together in Ankara in the coming days.

The rift that began between the two following the party convention process had intensified further with talk of "stabbing in the back." It had been reported in the public eye that Kılıçdaroğlu was not returning İmamoğlu's phone calls.

While the direction of the tension between the two was being debated, Ankara MP Deniz Demir, known for his closeness to Kılıçdaroğlu, paid a visit to İmamoğlu. İmamoğlu conveyed to Deniz Demir that he wanted to meet with Kılıçdaroğlu for dinner. Deniz Demir, who relayed İmamoğlu's request to Kılıçdaroğlu, received a positive response.

I conveyed his request to come together for a dinner in Ankara to Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu. He also responded positively. They will come together and have dinner in Ankara in the coming period,” he said.
