The July 15 claim that dominated the agenda: Abdurrahman Dilipak's response to Devlet Bahçeli

Islamist writer Abdurrahman Dilipak, in a post on his social media account in recent days, "The government knew about July 15 in all its details four months in advance" made the claim.

While MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli reacted harshly to the claim in question, a response came from Dilipak to Bahçeli.

In his response to Bahçeli without naming him, Dilipak said, "Regarding what I know, I can explain the issues that the prosecutors already know to the prosecutors of our state again. Furthermore, I recommend that those who speak in an insulting manner read my article today." he stated.

In another post, Dilipak shared his column. In his article, Dilipak said, "There is no error or attack in my statement. FETÖ attempted a coup, and the state, as a requirement of being a state, knew this beforehand. I thought, 'Let them take action and we will catch them red-handed,' but other strategies were involved, some people were weeded out, and using this event as an excuse, a counter-operation was carried out beyond the operation to suppress the coup." he said.

WHAT DID BAHÇELİ SAY?

Bahçeli had reacted to Dilipak at his party's TBMM Group Meeting today.

In his statement, Bahçeli said the following:

"A washed-up writer draft said on his social media account regarding July 15: 'The government knew that a coup would take place four months in advance with all its details. The people took to the squares against the coup without knowing what was happening. In the end, it was this country that suffered...' If this person does not prove his claims and does not document what he wrote in the presence of an honorable Turkish prosecutor, he is the most dishonorable person in the world."
