The remains of economist Korhan Berzeg, who left his home in Balıkesir for a walk with his dog Tina, were found in an area that had been searched nine times previously. A forensic report is awaited to determine the exact cause of death.
"NO ONE USES THAT PATH"
Speaking to CNN Türk, eyewitness Sabiha Uyanık stated that Berzeg frequently went for walks with his dog Tina and always followed a specific route. She said that on that morning, around 9 o'clock, Berzeg set out for a walk again with his dog Tina and another small dog with them.
She noted that he left her line of sight after a while, but emphasized that no one in the vicinity, including Berzeg, used the route he was alleged to have taken. Uyanık said, "No one who goes for a walk would choose that route. I have never seen him walk on that path either. It is desolate and there is a danger of wild animals. Besides, that path is very out of the way; I don't think he could have walked that far."
