The Minister's 1.5 billion [TL] yacht is back on the agenda: Minister Ersoy's super-luxury vacation is in Bodrum this time!

The luxury yacht owned by Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy has been spotted this time anchored right in front of the Maxx Royal Hotel in Bodrum. The yacht, owned by Ersoy, was seen off the coast of Greece at the beginning of the summer, which sparked harsh criticism from the public at the time.

This yacht, which is approximately 50 meters long and produced specifically for the ultra-wealthy, has once again become one of the most talked-about topics in Turkey.

ROYAL COMFORT ON A 1.5 BILLION [TL] YACHT

According to the report by Nefes, the yacht, which belongs to Ersoy's Voyage Group, is a special production model of the world-famous Mangusta 165 series. This super-yacht class vessel, of which only 519 were produced, features 6 cabins and was designed as a one-of-a-kind model.

The yacht includes one VIP double, three standard double, and one twin cabin. Capable of hosting 12 guests at once, the yacht is considered among the most luxurious in the world due to its design, comfort level, and security systems.

BACKLASH OVER LUXURY VACATION AMID ECONOMIC CRISIS

While citizens are unable to go on vacation due to the high cost of living and financial hardship, Minister Ersoy's vacation on a billion-lira yacht has drawn significant backlash on social media and among the public. While the tourism sector is debating declining tourist numbers, reservation cancellations, and a drop in hotel occupancy rates, the minister's flashy vacation has become the center of criticism.

EVEN AKP MEMBERS ARE UNCOMFORTABLE

Minister Ersoy's previous yacht vacation in Greece caused discomfort not only among the public but also within the ruling AKP. In party circles, it was discussed that the minister projecting "luxury" images during a period when citizens are struggling with an economic crisis was "ill-timed and damaging to reputation."

CRITICISM OVER VACATION FOLLOWING FIRE TRAGEDY

On the other hand, Minister Ersoy being on vacation following the fire tragedy that occurred in Bolu Kartalkaya on January 21 and caused great sorrow had also been a separate subject of debate. While those responsible for the incident have yet to be brought to justice, Ersoy's vacation was perceived by the public as "insensitivity" and a "timing crisis."
