The 'ordinary congress' wind in the AKP: When will it be held?

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan chaired a meeting of the Central Executive Board (MYK). It was learned that the local election results and new steps to be taken were discussed during the meeting. 

NEED FOR SELF-CRITICISM

It is stated that in his opening speech, Erdoğan gave messages regarding changes to be made within the party, stating that the results must be examined in depth and that there is a need for self-criticism.

According to NTV's report, Erdoğan gave instructions to begin preparations for the ordinary congress during the AKP MYK meeting.

WHEN IS THE CONGRESS?

The goal is to head to the grand congress around September or October, following the completion of town, district, and provincial congresses. According to information obtained, no changes in the party administration are planned before the congress.

Changes to provincial administrations that were unsuccessful in the elections, as well as changes to the party's Central Decision and Executive Board (MKYK) members at the congress, are on the agenda.

AKP CAMP PLAN

Two separate camps are also planned within the AKP. The first will be held in May with members of parliament. Each MP will explain the issues related to their region. Proposed solutions will be listed.

The second camp will be held with mayors. June is being considered for the camp planned to take place in Kızılcıhamam.
