While investigations launched into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) and CHP-run municipalities, as well as the arrests of mayors, continue to remain on the agenda, ASAL Research has conducted a new public opinion survey.

In the poll conducted with 2,000 people in 26 provinces between May 10-14, participants were asked the question, "Who is the politician you like the most in Turkey?"

25 percent of citizens gave the same answer. The rate of those who said "none" drew attention. The results are as follows:

No opinion/No answer – 5.2 percent

None – 10.4 percent

Other – 3.5 percent

Ali Babacan – 0.3 percent

Yavuz Ağıralioğlu – 0.6 percent

Tuncer Bakırhan – 1.3 percent

Müsavat Dervişoğlu – 1.5 percent

Fatih Erbakan – 1.6 percent

Ümit Özdağ – 2.0 percent

Devlet Bahçeli – 4.1 percent

Özgür Özel – 6.4 percent

Ekrem İmamoğlu – 17.8 percent

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan – 20.2 percent

The politician the public likes the most was Mansur Yavaş. 25.1 percent of the participants chose Mansur Yavaş.
