The prison where Erdal Beşikçioğlu was taken has been identified
The prison to which Mayor Erdal Beşikçioğlu was transferred following his arrest as part of the Etimesgut Municipality investigation has been identified. According to information obtained by journalist Barış Terkoğlu from municipal sources, Beşikçioğlu has been transferred to Konya Prison.
As part of the investigation conducted by the Ankara West Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into Etimesgut Municipality, 55 people, including Mayor Erdal Beşikçioğlu, were detained.
40 PEOPLE ARRESTED: BEŞİKÇİOĞLU AMONG THEM
While 44 of the 55 detained individuals were referred to the duty magistrate judge with a request for arrest, the court ordered the imprisonment of Erdal Beşikçioğlu and 39 others. 4 people were released under judicial control.
Journalist Barış Terkoğlu announced which prison Erdal Beşikçioğlu was transferred to during a live broadcast on Sözcü TV.
Relaying information obtained from Etimesgut Municipality sources, Terkoğlu stated that Beşikçioğlu was taken to Konya Prison.
