The procedure to be followed in Özkan Yalım's expulsion process from CHP has emerged: Journalist Saymaz shared the details

CHP Spokesperson Emre stated that they are examining the detention of Uşak Mayor Özkan Yalım within the scope of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on charges of "bribery," "extortion," and "rigging a tender," both in terms of the accusations and ethical considerations.

Journalist İsmail Saymaz also made a post regarding the expulsion process in question and used the following expressions:

"At the CHP's Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting, a consensus was reached to refer Özkan Yalım to the disciplinary board with a request for permanent expulsion on the grounds of an 'inappropriate relationship with someone under his hierarchy.'

However, the following method will be followed to implement the decision:

After the interrogation procedures are completed, two CHP lawyers will take Yalım's defense (whether in prison or outside) and examine the investigation documents, then submit a report to the Secretary General. Yalım's file will be sent to the High Disciplinary Board (YDK) for permanent expulsion in line with this report.

CHP Deputy Chairman and spokesperson Zeynel Emre says the following:

“We find it more legally sound to read the defenses and other documents in the file and take action rather than making a decision based solely on media reports without listening to anyone. This process will be completed in a short time.”"
