The shroud covering Haydarpaşa Station has been removed: Here is how the station looks now

The historic Haydarpaşa Station, located in Kadıköy, entered a restoration process after its roof was damaged in a fire on November 28, 2010.

The restoration of Haydarpaşa Station is nearing completion. While restoration work continues on the station, which was built on an area of 3 thousand 836 square meters, a portion of the shroud covering the station has been removed after years. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, who made statements in the past, had stated that the restoration work carried out at Haydarpaşa Station would be completely ready in 2024.

The General Directorate of State Railways' restoration project, which was prepared by remaining faithful to the original state of the historic station, was approved by the Kadıköy Municipality. The latest state of Haydarpaşa Station, whose shroud was removed after years, was captured from the air.

Additionally, slate stone brought from Spain was used for the exterior facade of the station.
