The talk of the night: 'Hakan Ateş's magnificent ego'

In a video screened for guests at the event held for DenizBank's 25th anniversary, in which General Manager Hakan Ateş also starred, Ateş's "acting" and his "alien" character became a topic of conversation once again.

Journalist Ertuğrul Özkök said that at the Koç Awards Ceremony, guests were talking most about the Fatih Terim Fund.

In his article titled "If Erdoğan had attended the Koç awards ceremony the other night, he would have been very surprised, and the main topic of the night would have been; Hakan Ateş's magnificent ego," Özkök said the following regarding the matter:

"THE BANK SHOULD HAVE RESOLVED THIS AT THE VERY BEGINNING"

The topic most discussed at the tables was, naturally, the “Fatih Terim Fund”…

A small segment among the journalists held the view that “Fatih Terim is being treated unfairly.” The majority were of the opinion that “Terim was also involved in this.”

Bankers, on the other hand, were focused more on Denizbank and its CEO Hakan Ateş.

The majority held this view:

“The bank should have resolved this at the very beginning. If this many celebrities had gotten involved, it was certain to grow. Therefore, they could have handled it. It would have cost them at most 20-30 million dollars, but the problem would not have escalated. Now, the bank and its executives are under suspicion. It will not be very easy for Hakan Ateş to remain there after this incident…”

"MAGNIFICENT EGO"

The most laughed-at thing of the night was the funny video Hakan Ateş had prepared for the bank's anniversary.

Honestly, for my part, I liked that video. I liked Hakan Ateş's sense of humor, his self-confidence, and his ability to make fun of himself. But the navy-suit-wearing banking crowd did not agree.

According to some, this video clearly reveals the scale of his “magnificent ego.”

“The reason he couldn't resolve this at the start was also that ‘magnificent ego’ of his,” they say.
