The Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) will hold the first session of the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS), the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT), today.

The 2024-YKS, which more than 3 million candidates will participate in this year, will be held today and tomorrow in 81 provinces and 245 exam centers across Turkey, as well as in Nicosia, the capital of Northern Cyprus, and Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.

3 million 120 thousand 878 candidates will participate in the first session of the YKS, the TYT, which will take place today at 10:15 AM. The exam will be held in 9 thousand 855 buildings and 176 thousand 851 halls. 438 thousand 684 personnel will serve during the TYT session.

HOW MANY QUESTIONS WILL BE ASKED?

In the TYT, candidates will be asked a total of 120 questions, including 40 in the Turkish Test, 20 in the Social Sciences Test, 40 in the Basic Mathematics Test, and 20 in the Science Test, and they will be given 165 minutes.

On the other hand, ÖSYM decided to hold the exam in Zagreb as well so that the youth national team players, who are in Zagreb for the Under-18 Football Friendship Tournament, could take the exam.

In this context, out of the 23 players in the squad, Efe Akman, Halim Ayaz Yükseloğlu, Recep Yalın Dilek, and Eren Paşahan from Galatasaray; Mustafa Emir Akyıldız and Emirhan Arkutcu from Fenerbahçe; Emir Yaşar from Beşiktaş; Kağan Arıcan from Bitexen Antalyaspor; Ege Arslan from Altınordu; and Muhammed Sinan Kaya from EMS Yapı Sivasspor will take the exam in a special hall prepared for them in Zagreb.

THE FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEST WILL ALSO BE HELD TOMORROW

The third session of the exam will also be held tomorrow. The Foreign Language Test will begin at 3:45 PM. Candidates will be given 120 minutes for 80 questions.

Candidates will be required to have their exam entry documents and photo ID cards with them when entering the exam.
