They are turning people's suffering into a competition: 'Earthquake Stories' contest announced

Inönü University, located in Malatya, has committed an act of disgrace that essentially plays with the suffering of earthquake survivors.

THEY ARE EVEN OFFERING A PRIZE

The university, which is organizing a competition called Earthquake Stories, stated that it would also award prizes to the winning stories. There has been no statement yet from officials regarding this competition, which has been met with significant backlash on social media.

The X account named 'Hatay Ayağa Kalkıyor' (Hatay Stands Up) expressed strong opposition to the competition.

''THEY ARE TURNING OUR SUFFERING INTO A COMPETITION SUBJECT''

The statement read, ''Those who closed their eyes to what happened here when the earthquake struck are now using our experiences for publicity. First, they filmed movies in the rubble that hasn't been cleared for 9 months, and now they are turning our suffering into a competition subject.''
