They demanded money from Mehmet Akif Ersoy with a 'promise of release': A 'let this be a lesson' warning from AKP's Tayyar

In an investigation conducted by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office following Ersoy's complaint, four suspects, including a lawyer, who demanded a large sum of money from Ersoy with the promise of "securing a release and acquittal," were caught red-handed through technical surveillance.

Lawyer Erel Muallaoğlu, Yavuz Küçükyeşil, Erkan Uzun, and Hacı Eşiyok were taken into custody.

AKP member Şamil Tayyar also made a statement regarding the aforementioned promise of release and used the following expressions:

"Mehmet Akif Ersoy filed a complaint.

An investigation has been opened into lawyer Erel Muallaoğlu, Yavuz Küçükyeşil, Erkan Uzun, and Hacı Eşiyok.

It turns out these individuals offered Ersoy a deal with a 'release' and 'acquittal' guarantee.

They also issued a high-scale invoice for the deal.

While the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office was investigating the allegation, they caught the suspects red-handed using a method of technical surveillance that we have not seen much of for a long time.

A hidden audio and video recording device was placed on the lawyer representing the complainant, and the meetings held with the suspects were recorded.

ERSOY'S IMPRISONMENT

Eight people, including Mehmet Akif Ersoy, were taken into custody on December 9 as part of a "narcotics" investigation.

On December 10, four suspects were released under judicial control measures. Ersoy and three others were arrested.

Following his detention, Ersoy was removed from his position as Editor-in-Chief of Habertürk TV.

Before being removed from his post, Ersoy was anchoring the news channel's evening news program.
