The leadership change within the CHP following its 38th congress continues to resonate in the music and art community. After Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was brought to the CHP Chairmanship, well-known artists such as Zülfü Livaneli, Selda Bağcan, Ali Altay, and Suavi issued statements expressing their discomfort with their works being used at party events.
Barış Yarkadaş, who works as a commentator in media outlets close to the AKP, criticized the artists' decision with harsh language on TV100. Yarkadaş expressed his reaction on the program with the words, "Zülfü Livaneli, Suavi, Ali Altay are making statements, Edip Akbayram's family is making statements, saying 'do not use our songs.'
