Barış Yarkadaş, who works as a commentator in media outlets close to the AKP, criticized the artists' decision with harsh language on TV100. Yarkadaş expressed his reaction on the program with the words, "Zülfü Livaneli, Suavi, Ali Altay are making statements, Edip Akbayram's family is making statements, saying 'do not use our songs.' Following Yarkadaş's harsh outburst, Suavi responded with a post on the social media platform X. The artist addressed Yarkadaş with the following words:
