They had voted no to CHP's TRT proposal: Explosive admission from MHP sources regarding the IMM indictment!
Despite MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli's statement that 'the IMM case should be broadcast on TRT,' the MHP front, which rejected the CHP's proposal, has broken its silence.
The legislative proposal prepared by the CHP for the IMM case to be broadcast live on TRT was rejected by the votes of the AKP and MHP.
It drew attention that the MHP cast a negative vote despite MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's statement on November 18 that "The trial should be broadcast live on all television channels, starting with TRT."
The reason why MHP deputies voted no to the proposal has emerged.
"THEY SAID CHP WOULD BE SILENCED, THE INDICTMENT TURNED OUT TO BE EMPTY"
Journalist Çağlar Tekin stated that he asked two of his sources within the MHP why a different stance was taken in Parliament despite Bahçeli's statement that "the İmamoğlu case should be broadcast on TRT." Both individuals stated that it had been conveyed to Bahçeli that evidence would emerge with the preparation of the indictment and that broadcasting the hearings would put the CHP in a difficult position, but that the indictment was not at the expected level. Tekin also added, "When I said that I thought İmamoğlu would not be allowed to emerge until the new regime is established, they avoided talking."
Tekin stated that he also spoke with an MHP legal expert, noting that this person showed a harsher reaction. He stated that the legal expert used the words, "The AKP told us there is plenty of evidence and that the CHP would be silenced once the indictment was released, but they produced a completely empty text as an indictment; how could we want it to be broadcast?"
