They killed the village head they had a feud with on a holiday and opened fire on the gendarmerie!

In the Korkut district of Muş, a father and his sons, who carried out an armed attack on a village head they had a feud with in front of his house on a holiday, opened fire on the gendarmerie when they realized they were about to be caught.

While the village head lost his life in the hospital, the father committed suicide upon realizing he would be captured.

According to the information received, the incident took place in the Akyıldız village of the Korkut district following the holiday prayer.

Allegedly, Muzaffer Ö. and his three sons went toward the house of village head Ferit Yasit (54) after the holiday prayer. Village head Yasit was seriously wounded after being subjected to an armed attack by his rival Muzaffer Ö. and his three sons in front of his door.

While gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification, the attacking father and his sons fled.

Yasit, who was taken to Muş State Hospital, lost his life despite all interventions, while the attackers were cornered by gendarmerie teams.

One of the attackers, who opened fire on the gendarmerie teams, was wounded, while the father, Muzaffer Ö., realizing he would be caught, held the gun to his head and committed suicide.

The investigation launched into the incident is ongoing.
