In Şırnak, 8 people were injured, 3 of them critically, after lightning struck near the tree they had taken shelter under during a downpour. While the injured were taken to the hospital, according to the latest information, 2 people have lost their lives and the treatment of 6 others is ongoing.
In the village of Kaymakamçeşme in the center of Şırnak, members of the Acet, Erdoğan, and Beldek families were harvesting grapes in their garden when a downpour began.
As a result of lightning striking near the tree they had taken shelter under to protect themselves from the downpour, Selim, Ramazan, Ebubekir Acet, Lale, Leyla, Azize Erdoğan, as well as Emin and Selahattin Beldek were injured.

Upon notification, 112 Emergency Health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region.
The injured were taken into ambulances by the arriving medical personnel and transported to Şırnak State Hospital.

It was learned that the health condition of Lale and Leyla Erdoğan and Ramazan Acet among these individuals is critical.
