Third access ban on soL Haber's X account: 'We will not take a single step back'
Following a decision made in line with the demands of the government and its alliance partners, a third access ban has been imposed on the official account of the soL Haber Portal on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).
The censorship decision against the account of soL Haber, which continues its broadcasting life with the principle of "Lying to the public is a crime!", has once again revealed the extent of the pressure on press freedom and the public's right to receive news. The platform's account, which has faced similar bans for similar reasons in the past, has been blocked from access in Turkey with the latest decision.
"We Will Not Take a Single Step Back"
In a statement following the access ban, soL Haber emphasized that they would not bow to censorship and restrictions. The statement included the following remarks:
"We will not abandon the principles we declared when we set out on this path, nor will we stop defending the public's right to accurate news. We declare once again that we will not take a single step back."
Despite the blocking decision, soL Haber announced that it would continue its broadcasting activities without interruption through its website and alternative digital channels. Press professional organizations and numerous users also reacted to the decision on social media.
