Bahar Candan, who was being held in custody on charges of fraud and membership in a criminal organization and faces up to 44 years in prison, has been released. Upon her release from Marmara Prison, Bahar Candan made statements to members of the press.
Released Bahar Candan said, "My most important priority was studying for my classes in prison. I hadn't been to school for a very long time. I thought about that a bit. I missed my family very much. I missed my boyfriend very much, there is an extreme longing. I gained quite a bit of weight, I'm very ugly right now, so I don't want to drag this out too much.
We are already friends, we are lawyers, we are all from the same school. As you know, our family is involved in law; my father is a legal professional. My sister is the same way.
My grandmother is a psychologist. So, even if I have been a bit degenerate in recent years and made some very irrational posts on social media, I mean, how degenerate could I really be, coming from such a family.
I can say I have returned to my roots. The 10 months were a very good thing for me. It was about remembering what my family taught me, and I am very happy to be reunited with them," she stated.
