A new case has been added to the deaths caused by counterfeit alcohol. A foreign national who fell ill shortly after purchasing counterfeit alcohol in Fatih has lost his life.
Nidal Mahdi, a married father of 5 children and a foreign national, purchased alcohol from an individual in Beyazıt, Fatih, on Tuesday and fell ill a short time later, seeking medical attention at a hospital.
It was determined that Mahdi had been poisoned by counterfeit alcohol and he was taken under treatment, but despite all interventions, he could not be saved and passed away.
Mahdi's body was delivered to his family following the autopsy procedures at the Council of Forensic Medicine.
