It has emerged that the words used by DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan regarding February 28 during a television program he attended were quoted from the Communist Manifesto.

Babacan experienced difficult moments in response to a question directed at him during the "Leader Special" program he attended on Cadde TV last night.

During the program, Ali Babacan, who claimed that the slogans used by his party were being imitated, was reminded that his statement on February 28, "A specter is haunting Turkey right now. The specter of February 28," was a quote from the Communist Manifesto.

"WE HOPE IT IS NOT IMITATED"

Babacan stated that their new slogan is "If this is the world, you are the DEVA (remedy)," and that it cannot be imitated because it contains the word "Deva," adding, "We hope this one is not imitated anymore."

Upon this, journalist Devrim Özkan reminded Ali Babacan of the words he used on February 28, "A specter is haunting Turkey right now. The specter of February 28," and told him that the phrase "A specter is haunting" is the opening line of Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto.
