Abdülhamid Kayıhan Osmanoğlu, a 4th-generation descendant of Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II, targeted some of Turkey's most successful high school students who were protesting teacher appointments at project schools.

Appearing as a guest on the program "Kayıtdışı Tarih" (Unrecorded History) on Akit TV, which is known for its proximity to the government, Kayıhan Osmanoğlu said, 'Do you think the Ottoman descendant is dead? What's going on, who do you think you are?'

'THEY DON'T HAVE THE POWER'

Stating, "A day or two ago, high school youth, ignorant youth, rose up against our state," Osmanoğlu said, "Of course, they don't have the power. We continue to stand by our state, thank God.
