THY offers free change and refund rights for Ankara flights due to NATO Summit
Turkish Airlines (THY) has granted passengers the right to free changes and refunds for flights connected to Ankara between July 6-9 due to the NATO Summit in Ankara.
Turkish Airlines (THY) has announced that it has granted additional rights to passengers for potential flight disruptions due to the 36th NATO Summit to be held in Ankara on July 7-8.
According to the company's statement, passengers registered for flights departing from, arriving in, or connecting through Ankara between July 6, 2026, and July 9, 2026 (inclusive), under tickets issued on or before June 29, 2026, will be able to make free reservation and route changes.
Passengers wishing to benefit from this right must complete their transactions by July 16, 2026 (inclusive). THY stated that ticket refund requests will also be processed free of charge without any deductions.
The statement noted that ticket validity can be extended until July 23, 2026 (inclusive) without any fare difference or penalty. It was stated that the application also covers additional services purchased for the flight.
THY emphasized that the defined rights will only be valid for flights operated by Turkish Airlines.
