TİP MP Şık reveals what he heard about 'Öcalan': He has set a three-month deadline
TİP MP Ahmet Şık stated that he has received information that PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan has set a 3-month deadline for legal regulations within the scope of the process.
TİP MP and member of the National Solidarity, Fraternity and Democracy Commission, Ahmet Şık, made evaluations regarding the resolution process on Hilmi Hacaloğlu's YouTube program.
Stating that he does not expect legal regulations to be made immediately, Ahmet Şık said, "When it is clear that the government does not view this as a structural process where democratization is a prerequisite, a report containing mere wishes and hopes does not mean much on its own.
It was thought that once this report was released, negotiations regarding the drafting of laws would begin immediately.
I do not share that opinion; the AKP is in no hurry at all. I think they will spread it out over time. There is an Erdoğan who is aware that he is emerging from this process stronger. I do not think that a law will be passed within 1-2 months," he said.
Ahmet Şık also stated that he had received information that Abdullah Öcalan had set a time limit regarding legal regulations, saying, "Let me tell you what I heard. I heard that in the meeting, Abdullah Öcalan granted a period of three months and set a deadline that the legal steps of this process must be taken within three months.
I don't know how accurate it is, but if I know this government at all, I don't think these steps will be taken within these three months," he said.
