TKP reaction to 'Koç Holding': We trust the country's working people

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, CHP leader Özgür Özel, and AKP Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz came together at the event hosted by Rahmi Koç, Ömer Koç, Ali Koç, and Semahat Arsel. While the event was taking place, the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) held a protest in front of the ATO Congresium.

According to Solhaber, TKP members marched to the front of the building chanting "Thief Koç Holding, thief capital" and "Factories, fields, political power, everything will belong to labor," and made a statement there. The police intervened in the protest.

Speaking on behalf of the TKP, Central Committee member Ali Ufuk Arikan said the following:

"In the building in front of us, there is a show of force by Turkey's biggest thief, those who steal the future of the poor and children. They call it Koç Holding. If there were a single moral party in this country that did not line up behind Koç Holding, it would be here. They are all inside. They are all standing at attention before the real boss of this country. They are celebrating their 100th anniversary here today. The AKP is here, the CHP is here, the MHP is here, the IYI Party is here, and the others are here. They are all buttoning up their jackets and saluting the real boss."

'THEY ARE PLACING POLICE IN FRONT OF US TO PROTECT KOÇ'

"Koç may be someone's boss. He may be the boss of the political party leaders inside. But Koç is the exploiter and bloodsucker of this country's working people. He is a thieving parasite who has seized the resources of this country," said Arikan, continuing his words as follows:

"They are celebrating their 100th anniversary in the back. One reason we are standing against them is to show that there are those in this country who stand up for their homeland, their people, and their country. Let them know, we will take everything they stole from us—the lives of our people, our nature, our factories—from these thieves. They should not trust the AKP government, they should not trust the opposition parties, the CHP, the MHP, and those who button up their jackets in front of them. Working people in this country are dying of hunger, and they are placing police in front of us to protect them. The scoundrels at the head of this order of poverty are inside. Let them know that the power of honorable people and revolutionaries will be established in this country, and let them be afraid. Let them know that we will seize TÜPRAŞ, which they seized for pennies thanks to the AKP. They are living in great luxury with great wealth. They are going to give a big concert in Ankara tomorrow, for the people of Ankara. Since Koç was born in Ankara... These exploiters take this arrogance from the political system of this country; we will destroy that system."

'THEY SHOULD NOT TRUST THE AKP, THE CHP, OR THEIR PALACES'

Arikan concluded his words as follows:

"We are here so they know that revolutionaries exist on the day they will celebrate with joy. We are here so they know that patriots exist. Not everyone in this country buttons up their jackets in front of Koç. We make a promise: we will definitely destroy their parasitic order. They should not trust their palaces. They should not trust the AKP or the CHP. We do not trust them; we trust the working people of this country. We promise that the power of the working people will be established in this country."
