TKP reacts sharply to Shara being hosted in Ankara: 'ISIS remnant is in Turkey!'

Following the arrival of HTS leader Ahmed Shara, who was declared the transitional president of Syria, in Ankara to meet with AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Communist Party of Turkey issued a statement. 

In the statement published on the TKP website under the signature of the Central Committee, titled "ISIS remnant Shara is in Turkey: We are warning!", it was noted that Shara, who is remembered for managing jihadist gangs for years, played a primary role in the dismantling of the country by imperialist centers, stating that "a war criminal is being hosted in Ankara."

Pointing out that Turkey is part of an operation centered on the US and Israel, the statement included the expressions: "We are warning! The country's security and the people's welfare cannot be ensured as part of international operations."

The full text of the TKP's statement regarding Shara's arrival in Turkey is as follows:

"ISIS remnant Shara is in Turkey: We are warning!

Shara, who was brought to the head of Syria—which was razed by an international operation—through the cooperation of the US, UK, and Israel, is visiting Turkey. This jihadist, a remnant of the ISIS terrorist organization, will meet with Erdoğan today.

Shara managed jihadist gangs during the civil war in Syria and took on a primary role in the country's dismantling by imperialist centers. The fact that he was declared the new president of Syria a short while ago does not change this reality; a war criminal is being hosted in Ankara today.

Holdings are the most pleased with this visit. Bosses are making calculations to grab a share of the economic plunder that has begun under the name of Syria's reconstruction. Their greed for profit is dragging our country into a great environment of uncertainty and chaos, just as it did during the civil war. This ominous plan lies behind the new Neo-Ottomanist and Islamist opening in politics.

Turkey continues to be dragged along as part of an international operation in which Israel is expanding and the US is strengthening its hegemony. The poses given by the Head of the MIT and the Minister of Foreign Affairs with Shara do not change the fact that those holding the strings of this jihadist are Israel and the US.
