TMO announces hazelnut purchase prices
The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) has announced the purchase prices for in-shell hazelnuts for the 2025/2026 season.
The TMO has announced the purchase prices for in-shell hazelnuts for the 2025/2026 season. The prices, determined to meet the storage and financing needs of hazelnut producers and to prevent marketing-related issues, were set based on a 50 percent sound kernel ratio.
Accordingly, a price of 200 liras per kilogram will be applied for Giresun-quality in-shell hazelnuts, and 195 liras per kilogram for Levant-quality in-shell hazelnuts. Additionally, for high-yield hazelnuts—that is, products with a yield above 50 percent—an additional price of 4 liras per kilogram will be paid for Giresun quality and 3.90 liras per kilogram for Levant quality for each additional point of yield.
The TMO has completed its technical infrastructure, storage, personnel, and financing preparations regarding hazelnut purchases. Purchases will be made by appointment starting from August 25. Producers will be able to make appointments starting from August 18 via TMO offices, the 'randevu.tmo.gov.tr' website, or through e-Devlet.
Producers were warned to dry their products well to avoid moisture issues when delivering them to the TMO. At the same time, officials expressed their wishes for the new harvest season and the announced purchase prices to be beneficial to the producers.
