TMSF statement on 'Habertürk sold' claims
The TMSF has issued a statement following social media posts claiming that Habertürk has been put up for sale.
It was alleged that Habertürk, which had a trustee appointed to its management as part of an investigation into Can Holding and Ciner Holding, had been put up for sale.
The Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) issued a statement regarding the claims circulating on social media that "Habertürk has been sold." The TMSF stated that the posts in question do not reflect the truth.
In the information provided by the Fund, it was emphasized that the claims are baseless, and it was requested that no credence be given to posts originating from sources other than official channels.
The TMSF reminded that all announcements regarding sales processes are published exclusively on the institution's official website.
The statement shared by the institution under the headline "Claims that Habertürk TV has been sold are baseless" included the following remarks:
"It is kindly requested that no credence be given to speculative news on social media and that the 'sales announcements' on the TMSF website be followed.
Social media reports claiming that Habertürk TV, for which the TMSF has been appointed as trustee by the court, has been sold do not reflect the truth.
The TMSF carries out all sales transactions by announcing them within the framework of relevant legislation.
It is kindly requested that no credence be given to speculative news on social media and that the 'sales announcements' on the TMSF website be followed. Respectfully announced to the public."
