The rebellion of a 'TOKİ victim' citizen, who spoke to the YouTube channel Bağımsız TV, has become a trending topic on social media.
The citizen stated that they were selected for an apartment in 2019, but despite 5 years passing, they have yet to receive it.
The protesting citizen stated the following:
"Actually, it's neither, but we will vote for İmamoğlu; we will not vote for Kurum. I was selected for an apartment from TOKİ in 2019, and it's 2024 and there is no apartment. He comes out and says he'll prepare for earthquakes, yet he couldn't even build 5,000 apartments; now he's going to fix things in Istanbul, but he'll give us free soup, that's why we love him," they said.
