Tolga Akış explains Manifest's revenue sharing in his testimony: He revealed his monthly earnings

Tolga Akış, the manager of the group Manifest, who was detained on August 28 as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was arrested yesterday evening. Akış's testimony in the investigation file included details regarding revenue sharing with group members and his own monthly earnings.

The referral document stated that Akış's arrest was requested on charges of "disseminating obscenity." The document cited the regulation regarding the punishment of individuals who publish or mediate the publication of obscene images, writings, or words through press and broadcasting channels.

REVENUE SHARING EXPLAINED IN TESTIMONY

In his testimony, Akış responded to certain allegations reflected in the press. Addressing the manager revenue sharing in his business relationship with the Manifest group, Akış stated that 60 percent of the revenue is distributed equally among group members, while 40 percent is allocated to the company's Manifest project expenses.

Akış denied the allegation reported in the press that "group members were forbidden from meeting with other people." He stated that the claim that group members could not make sponsored posts independently on their own social media accounts was "partially true," explaining that this was implemented to "protect the project."

Akış conveyed that there was a certain amount of penalty clause proportional to earnings in case of breach of contract, but that he did not remember the figure. Denying the allegation that group members were forced to go on vacation with him, Akış said that the photo and video in question were from a one-day group vacation taken 1.5 years ago.

HE REVEALED HIS MONTHLY INCOME

According to the testimony reflected in the file, Akış also did not accept the allegations that group members were forced to go on stage when they were sick. It was stated that Akış also disclosed his own monthly income in his testimony, saying that his monthly earnings were 350 thousand TL.
