Tolgahan Demirbaş's messages to police chief revealed: 'Send the number, chief, let's take a look right away'
BirGün columnist and journalist Timur Soykan has published some of the messaging records of Tolgahan Demirbaş, who is being tried in the case regarding the murder of former Ülkü Ocakları President Sinan Ateş.
On the eighth anniversary of July 15, Special Operations President Süleyman Karadeniz kissing the hand of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli had become a topic of discussion.
BirGün columnist and journalist Timur Soykan, in his article titled "When the police kiss a hand...", recalled Special Operations President Süleyman Karadeniz kissing the hand of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli and stated, "We see the consequences of state institutions, the military, and the police entering the service of politics in the Sinan Ateş murder. Tolgahan Demirbaş, a former Ülkü Ocakları executive who is being tried for instigating the murder, obtained personal data from the police's closed system from Mustafa Ensar Aykal, who was the Ankara Murder Bureau Commissioner before Ateş was killed."
Stating that the information was obtained through the recovery of deleted messages on Tolgahan Demirbaş's phone by an expert, Soykan said, "Let's reveal this very grave picture with examples" and conveyed the following:
'WHAT DO YOU MEAN, MY PRESIDENT'
"On November 14, 2021, Tolgahan Demirbaş sent a message to the person saved in his phone as 'Murder Bureau Commissioner Mustafa Aykal' saying, 'Brother, we need your help again.'
The subsequent messages are as follows:
Mustafa Ensar Aykal: What do you mean, my president, tell me, no problem.
Tolgahan Demirbaş: We won't take any action, but there is someone who is turning off their phone. I need alternatives, an address, or their current number if available. I also need their name.
Mustafa Ensar Aykal: Send the number, chief, let's take a look right away.
Tolgahan Demirbaş sends a number saved as 'Tire Dealer A' and continues:
Tolgahan Demirbaş: If there is an address, name, open phone, spouse, etc. If you don't mind, chief.
Mustafa Ensar Aykal: Not at all, chief, I'm having it checked now.
Following this message, Murder Bureau Chief Mustafa Ensar Aykal sends a photo of this person. He asks, “Is this the guy, chief?” He warns so that the police officer who downloaded the photo is not identified.
Mustafa Ensar Aykal: There is a registration number on the photo, though, let's not share it anywhere.
Tolgahan Demirbaş: Yes brother, this is him.
In the continuation of the correspondence, Mustafa Ensar Aykal sends this person's name, surname, date of birth, place of birth registration, address, vehicle license plate, model, and Turkish ID number."
'I'M SENDING HIS WIFE NOW TOO'
The correspondence continues as follows:
Tolgahan Demirbaş: …brother, what's the deal with this guy.
Mustafa Ensar Aykal: He has a record and such, he tried to pull a few scams.
Tolgahan Demirbaş: Chief, where can I find him? Is he married or something?
Mustafa Ensar Aykal: I'm sending his wife now too.
Mustafa Ensar Aykal sends the information of this person's wife. He writes, “Same address and residence.”
Tolgahan Demirbaş: Chief, is there a phone number for his wife? We want to call the guy directly.
Mustafa Ensar Aykal: There is no number in the system, chief."
