Traces of earthquakes in Tokat revealed at daybreak
The toll of the earthquakes that struck Tokat became clear at daybreak. The scale of the damage at the epicenter was revealed through aerial drone footage.
Following the 5.6 magnitude earthquake that struck Tokat the previous day, the extent of the damage became clear as day broke.
The epicenter of the earthquake, Sulusaray district, was captured from the air by drone.

In the footage captured by the drone, it was seen that buildings had collapsed in the areas hit by the earthquake, mosque minarets had fallen, and roads blocked by rocks were being cleared by heavy machinery.

Teams are rapidly continuing damage assessment efforts, and coordination is being provided to deliver aid to the affected regions.

Detailed information regarding the full extent of the damage caused by the earthquake and the situation of those affected is expected to be provided by authorities during the day.

Recep Göktepez, a resident of Tekke neighborhood whose barn wall collapsed and who had to spend the night outside because his house had cracks, said, "The earthquake happened all of a sudden. I was sitting in front of the house and couldn't get up. We waited in the car until morning. The barn wall was completely blown away. I can't go into the house because there are cracks in it too."
