Tracked by drone: 65.5 kilograms of narcotics seized
65.5 kilograms of narcotics were seized in a van that police teams tracked with a drone on the Bolu section of the Anatolian Highway.
Teams from the Provincial Security Directorate's Anti-Narcotics Crimes Branch tracked a van suspected of carrying narcotics on the Anatolian Highway using a drone.
DRUG COURIER APPREHENDED
The van, which was also being followed by plainclothes teams on the highway, was stopped at the exit of the West toll booths. In the operation, where the narcotics dog "Pako" participated in the searches, the items in the back of the van were inspected. Within the scope of the detailed searches, 61 kilograms and 700 grams of skunk and 3 kilograms and 800 grams of powdered cannabis hidden in a bed base, a drawer, and a refrigerator were seized.
The driver of the van, M.Ç. (42), who was taken into custody and referred to the courthouse after processing at the police station, was arrested by the duty magistrate and sent to prison.
