Tradesmen revolt: Bread quota introduced in restaurants, will now be sold for 15 liras!
A tradesman restaurant in İzmit stated that bread is now 15 TL, saying, "Those who eat 1 loaf of bread with a little soup should bring their own bread. If you eat more bread, please let us know at the register."
Recently, there was a price hike for bread in Kocaeli. The price of a 220-gram loaf of bread has become 15 TL.
While bread was previously provided free of charge in tradesman restaurants, İzmit tradesmen have revolted following the bread price hike. Local tradesmen have found the solution in seeking new measures of their own.
"BRING YOUR OWN BREAD"
In that solution, which also became a topic of discussion on social media, the tradesman expressed his revolt with a sign hung on the wall.
"Those who eat 1 loaf of bread with a little soup should bring their own bread when they come. This tariff also applies to a small portion of dried beans. Please let us know at the register if you eat extra bread."
