Traffic accident in Bosnia and Herzegovina: 4 Turkish citizens lost their lives
Four people lost their lives and one person was injured in a traffic accident that occurred near the city of Konjic in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It has been determined that those who lost their lives were Turkish citizens.
In a tragic accident that occurred on Thursday afternoon on the M-17 highway connecting the cities of Konjic and Jablanica in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 4 Turkish citizens lost their lives, and 1 person was taken to the hospital with injuries.
According to a statement made by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, the accident occurred when a car carrying a family of 5 drove under a truck for reasons yet unknown.
Local sources reported that the Turkish citizen couple, born in 1980, died at the scene of the accident, while their two children lost their lives at the hospital in Konjic where they had been taken. The third child, who was injured, was transferred to Sarajevo by ambulance.
Police and the duty prosecutor conducted a detailed investigation at the scene regarding the cause of the accident. Following the accident, the M-17 highway was closed to traffic for a period of time.
