Traffic congestion occurs due to road closure by UKOME decision
In the Bandırma district of Balıkesir, the intersection at the junction of Ordu Street and Atatürk Boulevard was closed in accordance with a decision taken by the Highways Department and UKOME. This situation caused long queues for citizens heading to work in the morning hours.
Due to uncontrolled and incorrect crossings on the closed road in Bandırma, long queues formed, especially as citizens wanting to go to their workplaces in the morning hours used this route. The problem was captured from the air by a drone.

While disruptions occurred in urban transportation, especially with the closure of the intersection, buses had to stop 3 times at the lower traffic lights.

Vehicle traffic came to a standstill in the morning hours on Hamit Kaplan Street, Atatürk Boulevard, and Ordu Street. Urban bus services were also disrupted due to the increasing traffic density. Citizens requested that alternative route paths be determined.
