Traffic density in Istanbul reaches 42 percent
Following the closure of schools as part of snow-related measures in Istanbul, traffic was observed to be calm at the end of the workday on Friday evening. As of 17:00, traffic density in Istanbul was 42 percent.
Istanbul Governor Davut Gül had announced that schools would remain closed today and that motorcycle couriers were temporarily prohibited from entering traffic.
While citizens took to the roads to head home after the end of the workday on Friday, traffic was observed to be calm in Fatih Ayvansaray, where snowfall continues.
According to data from the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Cep Trafik application, traffic density was 42 percent as of 17:00.
