Traffic density in Istanbul reaches 90 percent
Heavy traffic is being experienced in Istanbul at the end of the third workday of the week.
On the European side, due to the end of working hours and intermittent rainfall in the city, traffic congestion is occurring on the D-100 highway in the direction of Zincirlikuyu starting from the Haliç Bridge. Traffic is also observed to be heavy from the same location towards Avcılar.
Vehicles are moving slowly on the approach to the 15 July Martyrs Bridge and the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, as well as on the connecting roads for those crossing to the Anatolian side.
Traffic is also heavy in both directions on the Basın Ekspres Road and the O-3.
Additionally, traffic is seen to be heavy on the TEM Highway at the Mahmutbey toll booths in the direction of Edirne and at the Esenyurt toll booths in the direction of Ankara.
Traffic is also moving slowly from Avcılar to TÜYAP.
On the Anatolian side, congestion is observed in both directions on the D-100 highway between Kadıköy and Kartal, while intermittent congestion is also occurring in Pendik and Tuzla.
Traffic density is observed on the Üsküdar and Ümraniye sections of the Şile Highway, and between Ataşehir and Sancaktepe on the TEM Highway.
For those crossing to the European side, traffic congestion in the direction of the 15 July Martyrs Bridge begins at Uzunçayır.

Traffic is moving slowly in both directions between the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge and Ataşehir.
On the TEM Highway, there is intermittent congestion from Tuzla to Sancaktepe in the direction of Edirne.
On the other hand, traffic congestion is observed on some main arteries, coastal roads, and TEM connecting roads on both sides.
Additionally, crowding is observed at some public transport stops.
According to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality traffic density map, traffic density in the city has reached 90 percent.
