Tragic accident in Izmir! Passenger bus and car collide: There are dead and injured...
One person died and 3 people, one of whom is in serious condition, were injured as a result of a collision between a passenger bus and a car in the Kemalpaşa district of Izmir.
In Izmir's Kemalpaşa district, a passenger bus with license plate 34 EHC 916, belonging to the Kamil Koç company and driven by H.A. (55), collided with a car with license plate 48 BY 621, driven by Abdullah Demir (32), at the Halilbeyli Junction on the Izmir-Ankara highway.
Due to the force of the impact, the car and the bus were dragged for approximately 200 meters.
Upon notification, ambulance, fire department, police, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene from Izmir and Manisa.
In the accident, car driver Demir and passengers H.D. (31), M.E. (61), and E.D. (23) were injured.
Fire department teams extracted the driver and H.D., who were trapped in the car.
Abdullah Demir, one of the injured who was taken to Turgutlu State Hospital after intervention at the scene, lost his life. It was learned that H.D. is in critical condition.
The gendarmerie has taken bus driver H.A. into custody.
Meanwhile, the passengers continued their journey with another bus sent to the region by the company.
