Tragic accident on the TEM! Car hits pedestrians entering the highway: 5 people lost their lives
Five people lost their lives in an accident on the TEM Highway when a car struck individuals attempting to cross the road.
According to allegations, around 03:00, a car with license plate 35 KD 5720, driven by Soner K. and traveling in the direction of Kurtköy Junction towards Sultanbeyli, struck pedestrians who were attempting to cross the highway.
Following the accident, initial checks by medical teams arriving at the scene determined that Şükrü Okur, Muhammet Alihan Okur, Ecrin Okur, Melek Okur, and Fatma Gürsoy, who were learned to be from the same family, had lost their lives.
The car driver, Soner K., was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
The road, which was closed following the accident, was reopened to traffic after the vehicle was removed with the help of a tow truck.
