Tragic accident on the TEM Highway... There are dead and injured

The fatal accident occurred in the direction of Ankara near the Kurtköy location. According to the information obtained, a Volkswagen minibus with license plate 34 NA 4777, whose driver's name could not be learned, rear-ended a Ford light commercial vehicle with license plate 60 ADB 412.

Due to the force of the impact, İrem E. (15) and her mother Meryem E., who were among the 5 people in the light commercial vehicle, lost their lives at the scene, while 3 people and the minibus driver were injured. Upon the notification made to the 112 Emergency Call Center, fire, health, UMKE, and police teams were dispatched to the address. The 3 injured people trapped in the light commercial vehicle were extracted by the fire department teams. The injured were taken to the hospital after the initial interventions by the health teams.

Due to the accident, long vehicle queues formed in the Ankara direction of the highway. Traffic, which was provided from a single lane, returned to its normal flow after the vehicles were removed from the road.

An investigation has been launched into the accident.
