The body of fisherman Kadir Kalanoğlu, who went missing in Ayvalık, has been found on the Greek island of Lesbos. While there had been no news from Kalanoğlu for 10 days, a body washed ashore on the Greek island of Lesbos yesterday morning. Photographs of the necklace and watch found on the unrecognizable body, which was wearing a life jacket, were sent by Greek authorities to Turkish authorities. Officials who reached out to Kalanoğlu's family had them examine the photos.
According to initial findings, it is believed that the watch and necklace could belong to Kalanoğlu. The body has been taken to a hospital morgue in Lesbos. Whether the lifeless body belongs to Kadir Kalanoğlu will be determined based on the results of a DNA test.
