Train carrying 80 passengers collides with concrete mixer
In the Çerkezköy district of Tekirdağ, a passenger train carrying tourists collided with a concrete mixer at a level crossing. According to initial reports, 1 person was injured in the accident.
The accident occurred at the Veliköy level crossing in the Çerkezköy district.
According to the information obtained, the passenger train numbered E68 009, traveling from Istanbul to Sofia, struck a concrete mixer with the license plate 34 TJ 316 that was attempting to cross the level crossing.
The driver of the concrete mixer, which was dragged by the passenger train due to the force of the impact, was injured.

INVESTIGATION AT THE SCENE CONTINUES
Upon notification by bystanders, health, gendarmerie, and search and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene.
The injured driver was taken to the hospital after receiving initial medical intervention from health teams at the scene.

While the passengers continue to wait, the investigation at the scene is ongoing.
It was learned that there were approximately 80 passengers on the train, most of whom were foreign tourists.
