Tram service disrupted due to Kurum's banner
In Istanbul, tram services on the T1 line were disrupted after a campaign banner for AKP's Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate Murat Kurum became entangled in the power lines. Services returned to normal following repair work.
A campaign banner for People's Alliance IMM candidate Murat Kurum, which had been hung on the Galata Bridge in Istanbul, became entangled in the power lines of the T1 tram line. Tram services were disrupted for 20 minutes due to the necessary repair work.
Metro Istanbul stated the following in a post on its X account:
"Due to a banner becoming entangled in the catenary (power) line on the Galata Bridge on our T1 Kabataş-Bağcılar Tram Line, our services are operating between the Kabataş-Karaköy and Eminönü-Bağcılar stations."

Following the completion of the work, the T1 Kabataş - Bağcılar tram line returned to normal operation.
